Schurter UMT-H Surface Mount Fuse

Product Description

SCHURTER is expanding its already wide range of SMD fuses with the UMT-H. The letter H in the product name stands for the high breaking capacity of 1500 A.
This high level makes the time-lag fuse ideal for applications with large short-circuit currents. It is available in six rated currents from 160mA to 2A and has rated voltages up to 277VAC and 250VDC making it an all-purpose component.

The UMT-H's square shape also makes it an alternative to cylindrical fuses in situations where rolling away may be an issue during assembly.
Due to the position of the device markings key information about the fuse can be seen immediately. In addition the UMT-H with dimensions of 5.3 x 16mm is somewhat more compact than traditional cylindrical fuses in the 5 x 20mm format.

Besides a wide range of applications in power circuits and sensors the UMH-H is particularly well suited for the primary protection of power supply units and in industrial electronics.
The high breaking capacity of 1500A and the spacing between the end caps of >10mm also make these devices useful in applications that involve explosion protection (IEC 60079-11). Further with a rated voltage up to 277VAC along with cURus approval these fuses are ideally suited for lighting applications in the US market.
