Amphenol present their new range of Ergonomic Industrial Connectors – ErgoN.

With fleets of electric vehicles increasingly becoming a reality we are seeing growing demands being placed on connectors. There is a need for connectors that are able to handle high current, improve safety for both user and electronics, be easily assembled, rugged and able to maintain a seal over hundreds of mating cycles.

With a shell made from durable thermoplastic, with silicone and neoprene orings and panel gaskets ErgoN is ideal for everyday industrial use. Designed with a patented push-lock mechanism ErgoN is built with to make everyday industrial use that much easier. Capable of handling currents up to 350 A these connectors are tested for the extremes of everyday use and abuse; IP68 compliant when mated, IP2X compliant unmated, tested for UL 94 V0 for flame resistance, ISO 16750 for vibrations as well as being tested for thermal shock and an operating temperature range of -30° to 85°C. Using tested and proven technology these connectors will survive 3000 mating cycles and need only a low insertion force ideal for charging electric vehicles. The patented push-lock also has the option of double locking for additional safety.

From wind farms, to solar collectors or your fleet of electric vehicles ErgoN’s simple easy to assemble and safety tested design is something you can rely on.

Tested Technology

ErgoN makes use of a rugged thermoplastic shell with silicone and neoprene Orings and panel gaskets for excellent environmental seals making the connectors compliant with a variety of rigorous safety standards including IP2X (unmated) & IP68 (mated).

Easy to Use

ErgonN’s interlock contacts, already shunted & assembled in factory and makes use of a patented Push & Lock Mating mechanism which requires a low insertion force. The option of double locking for additional safety is also available.

Hardwearing

Designed to be ideal for constant use Amphenol have used proven railway technology to create connectors that will survive 3000 mating cycles with an operating temperature range of -30° to 85°C.
